Responsibilities: The Data Engineer/Knowledge Management Lead will lead the curation of data and information obtained in preparation for, execution of, and sharing of information to perform operational planning, studies conducted for SPACECENT, and other Department of Defense stakeholders. The applicant will use a range of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS), government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) and emerging third-party developed knowledge management tools to collect, categorize, and organize information, report, models and other information required in the execution of OPLAN development, studies, risk assessments, and other analyses. Additional responsibilities include: Develop, recommend, and implement Knowledge/Information Management strategies, and assess the impact that new and/or emerging technology will have on existing processes.
Develop and maintain Knowledge/Information Management structures, policies and procedures with respect to Collection, Categorization, and Tagging, curation and version control and Reference Management, etc.
Maintain knowledge repositories, ensuring content quality, relevance and accuracy.
Support organization process improvements.
Implement commercial organization change best practices and oversee knowledge management systems.
Foster collaboration and information exchange among teams and individuals, breaking down silos and facilitating cross functional knowledge sharing.
Interface with external stakeholders and software developer to provide structured, actionable recommendations for system and software improvements.
Must be experienced working with classified data of disparate levels and compartment.
An active Top-Secret clearance with Sensitive Comparted Information (SCI) eligibility is required.
Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
10 years' experience with knowledge management principles, tools, and best practices with a customer-focused mindset.
Extensive experience implementing information architectures, records management, and knowledge management principles.
Ability to think creatively and function as a part of a high performing team.
Ability to coordinate with government and external contractor stakeholders to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify objectives.
Ability to lead a technical knowledge management and records management activities.
Ability to use COTS, GOTS, and other tools to support knowledge management activities.
Active DoD Top Secret clearance with current SCI eligibility.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Eligible for Special Access Program (SAP) access.
US Citizenship
Preferred Skills: Understands data/systems engineering principles and can identify data exchange requirements between software modules and/or subsystems.
Master's Degree in a related field with at least 10 years of experience related to knowledge management, performance of business process definition and business process modeling, and information system schemes
Experience supporting Joint Staff, Service Staff, DARPA, or other DoD customers.
Active DoD Top Secret clearance with active SCI within the last 12 months.
IAT II and IAM II Certifications preferred
