Summary
We are seeking an eager and self-motivated Jr Systems Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate is looking for that next opportunity to grow their career as a future Systems or Sr Systems Engineer in a fast-growing organization. The ideal candidate will be comprised of eagerness to learn and grow and show an aptitude to learn new technologies. The experience desired for this candidate is someone whose career has progressed through service desk support and is ready to step into a Jr Sys Engineer role to provide support at the next level, while learning to become a full System Engineer. As a Jr Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support for our enterprise customers on a day-to-day basis in areas of server infrastructure, access management, network support, outage escalation, and Azure/365 support. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, implementing new technologies, and documenting system configurations. The number one trait the ideal candidate has for this role is customer service and a can-do positive attitude. Technology can be taught, attitude is individual.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for enterprise infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner leveraging enterprise service desk tool.

• Work alongside senior engineers to deploy new technologies and solutions to improve IT infrastructure performance and security.

• Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure the smooth operation and up time of IT infrastructure.

• Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in IT infrastructure

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure support

• Solid understanding of Windows operating systems

• Exposure with virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Hyper-V

• Solid understanding of networking technologies, such as TCP/IP, routing, and switching

• Experience with storage technologies, such as SAN, NAS, and iSCSI

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Customer Service center attitude to supporting end users.

• A can-do positive attitude to challenges as they arise.
