Junior Operations Watch Officer

Leidos is seeking an Operations Watch Officer - Junior level. The selected candidate will serve as a junior member of a highly qualified and motivated Cyber Watch Team in an exciting, fast-paced, mission-critical counterterrorism watch center / operations environment. Secret clearance is required to start (Interim ok). This position is onsite 5 days a week (M-F), day shift, 7:30 to 4pm.

Primary Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities, under mentorship of senior team members and leads, include:

• Assist Watch Team with monitoring of multiple channels of classified and unclass information and data related to cybersecurity operations.
• Assist Watch Team with the sorting and prioritizing of operational message traffic.
• Assist Watch Team in providing early warning and alert to subscribers and government personnel.
• Assist Watch Team with facilitating the flow of critical information to those who need it on a timely basis.
• Assist Watch Team with production of alerts and responses to time-sensitive events to provide government, contracting team, and subscribers' necessary information related to developing and changing situations.
• Assist Watch Team with alerts to customer leadership to CSSP breaking info and events.

Basic Qualifications

• Candidates must have entry level knowledge of databases, networks, and technical environments.
• Must be comfortable working full time, onsite in a government facility.
• Must be comfortable working within a cyber mission focused team environment.
• Must be comfortable communicating via email and phone to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Effective use of MS Office applications for communications and work artifacts.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or Cyber field.
• 8570 Certification - IAT II and CSSP Analyst certs within 90 days of start.
• Interim Secret clearance required to start.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a multi team environment.
• General familiarity with databases, networks, and technical within cyber environments.
• Active Secret clearance (or interim), eligibility to upgrade to TS/SCI level.
• 8570 Certification - IAT II and CSSP Analyst certs prior to start.
