Our firm is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Consulting Junior Construction Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling a variety of accounting tasks, including reconciling accounts, managing accounts receivable, and performing data entry. We are looking for someone with a strong background in construction accounting and a deep understanding of the unique financial needs and challenges of this industry. Responsibilities:

1. Manage and reconcile all financial accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
2. Oversee accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collection of payments.
3. Perform 3-way match to verify that purchase orders, receipts, and invoices align before payment is issued.
4. Collaborate with General Contractors to manage job costs and ensure proper coding and allocation of expenses.
5. Utilize Sage 300 to manage financial data and generate reports for management.
6. Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
7. Assist with project accounting, including tracking project costs, preparing financial reports, and analyzing project profitability.
8. Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze financial data, create financial models, and perform other accounting tasks.
9. Perform data entry tasks as needed to maintain accurate financial records.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction accounting or a similar role.
3. Proficiency in Sage 300, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting software.
4. Strong understanding of general ledger management, project accounting, and other construction accounting principles.
5. Experience working with General Contractors and managing accounts receivable.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Strong data entry skills, with the ability to input and manage large volumes of financial data.
8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
9. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve accounting issues in a timely and effective manner.
