We are looking for a results-driven Discover & Collection Specialist with fulfilling customer requestion, circulation of library materials, dissemination of digital and hardcopy products, and providing dissemination of digital and hardcopy products in Springfield, VA. Responsibilities: Fulfilling customer requests; e.g. providing basic reference and research support, conducting customer interviews to understand requirements, providing reproduction services, etc. Circulation of library materials; e.g. checking materials in and out, shelving materials in the correct sections, shelf-reading to maintain filing order in accordance with Library of Congress standards. Dissemination of digital and hardcopy products. Provide briefings and tours of the GRC facilities and capabilities. Provide library collection development support to include accession and deaccession of materials. Conduct research and support to ad hoc projects using classified and unclassified databases and sources, as well as special source libraries. Utilize open internet search engines in support of assigned research in accordance with established processes and procedures. Geospatial information from all available sources (open, academic, and classified sources in all formats) shall be identified, obtained, and exploited for relevant information. Contribute to the preparation of analytical and technical reports and publications. Maintain databases, summary data, spreadsheets, and graphic documents. Maintain proper file management in accordance with division standards. Fulfill Inter-Library Loan requests and transfers. Populate Integrated Library Systems (ILS) database using current NGA modified MARC 21, AACR2R, and RDA standards. Transportation of physical media (up to 25lbs). Required Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience conducting Open Source collection or Open Source Analysis or research professionally or 1-3 years of experience conducting research, collection, or circulation within a library. Experience building/using Power-Point slides, Excel spreadsheets, Email, and OneNote Notebooks. Experience directly engaging with other IC partners in areas of research support. Ability to support movement and organization of physical media by carrying boxes (up to 25lbs) and climbing a ladder. TS/SCI Clearance Desired Qualifications: Master's degree in library sciences. Proficient in circulation services. Familiarity with library clerical procedures and practices. Understanding of NGA maps/products. Understanding of Classified databases and sources. Familiarity with common Unclassified databases. Experience providing tours or briefs. Experience conducting surveys. Familiarity with JIRA. Familiarity with Safe Searching practices.
