We are a leading player in the construction industry, seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to apply your accounting skills in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial health of our company by administering accounting operations to meet legal requirements. Our ideal candidate is familiar with all accounting procedures and can manage daily financial transactions end-to-end. If you have a knack for numbers and a passion for financial data, we'd like to meet you.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
2. Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing.
3. Support the Accounts Receivable (A/R) department by processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and helping with collection of past due balances.
4. Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.
5. Participate in preparation for the annual audit.
6. Help in development of reports for management or regulatory bodies.
7. Review the company's accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.
8. Utilize accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records.
9. Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a junior accountant of 2+ years.
2. Solid knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
3. Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
4. Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
5. Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
6. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
7. BSc/Ba in accounting, finance or relevant field is preferred.
8. Certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) is a plus.
9. Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
