Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Jr. Project Manager (PMO). The selected individual will join a collaborative team environment where they will provide expertise and guidance for project leadership. The Project Manager (PMO) plays a key role in client relations, working as the primary point of contact. Key to the success of this position is the successful delivery of projects and effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting project status.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively understand the division's IT strategy direction, organizational structure, and services.
  • Assist the Service Area Director in analyzing the organization s competitive position within the Government and IT industry.
  • Help perform contract reviews and renewals, drafting SOWs and provide budget support.
  • Perform reviews of task orders (specifically those associated with cyber security needs).
  • Support, review, and examine task order cost estimates and budgeting items.
  • Support contract renewals and dealing with sellers with contracts that are about to expire working the quotes for the renewals making sure its ok, on task etc.
  • Work to make sure all task order/contract renewals are in line with the overall budget and report financials and budget to the others.
  • Support, participate in weekly meetings to make sure budget is accurate.
  • Set up meetings, send out invites.
  • Drafts of small documents.
  • Take notes at meetings and help coordinate some small project management duties.
  • Conduct IT industry research through sources such as the Internet and develops a presentation that clearly supports and answers manager requirements.
  • Responsible for developing the partner focus presentations for the Service Area Directors.
  • Familiar with the organization to accurately prepare and update written business correspondence and organizational documents (presentations, spreadsheets, memos, organizational charts) that is coherent, accurate, grammatically correct, effective, professional and engaging to the Service Area Directors.
  • Provide the Service Area Directors with budgeting information when requested. For example, access financial systems to run reports.
  • Schedule executive and other meetings, organize agendas, take and distribute minutes, conference room bookings for the Service Area Directors and Deputy Directors.
  • Ensure all meetings are ready prior to start (e.g., projector ready for use, meeting materials are printed.
  • Coordinate all the above activities with section manager, team and other stakeholders.
  • Effective oral communication skills, effective presentation skills, effective listening skills, ability to resolve issues, effective written material, logical organization, read ability and conciseness.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Sciences.
  • Ability to perform independently and under pressure of time constraints with the proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with government SOW, policies and procedures.
  • Experience with government standards as it pertains to acquisitions and contracts.
  • Ability to understand technical vision and communicate it to both technical and non- technical parties.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, creative, analytical problem-solving person who can work with minimal supervision and possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as superior time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of and some experience in working in the Information Technology industry.
  • Experience/knowledge of developing, analyzing SOWs, task orders, budgets.
  • Experience supporting budget and project financial activities.
  • High level of writing skill including the ability to produce high quality executive-level memos, presentations, minutes, and other documents.
  • High level of computer literacy, including the ability to technically generate high quality documents and proficient in using Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio) and SharePoint.
  • Pay attention to detail and deliver quality products.
  • Must be able to handle high-paced office and is proactive.
