The Junior Project Manager is a vital operational role serving the Construction team with a high level of energy, desire to learn, and participate in their own growth. Candidate must be self starting and willing to improve quickly on their current skillset, while exhibiting trust-building capabilities with all levels of staff both internally and externally. The Junior Project Manager works collaboratively as the liaison between the marina properties, Project Managers and the Home Office to provide optimal support and direction on construction and development related projects.

The Junior Project Manager is a new college graduate or someone who has been in the construction industry for 1-3 years and is ready for the next level of growth. The Junior Project Manager is a friendly, helpful position that maintains practical, efficient, and task oriented workstyle The Junior Project Manager displays BB1 a professional company image through all types of interaction and is able to seamlessly work in a fast-paced environment under pressure while juggling strategic and time sensitive tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Heavy administrative responsibilities

2. Provides administrative support for construction projects

3. Assists in pre-construction services such as estimating, project planning and cost-reporting

4. Consistently builds rapport and trust with various parties including trade partners, governing entities, and property personnel

5. Capable of simple PDF or DWG sketches and plans production capabilities

6. Participates in scope review and project declaration

7. Can provide assessments of property conditions in sight of preservation hierarchy

8. Provides quality, production, and safety monitoring and re BB2 porting

9. Tracks accountability for daily reporting of trade partners

10. Creates, updates, and maintains schedule of projects, tasks, and associated duties regularly including PSR (Project Status Report)

11. Is able to travel to all of the Suntex properties to provide support to the Operations team and Construction Department.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  1. Bachelor's Degree BB3 in related field or equivalent experience required. Or 1-3 years in construction as a Project Administrator / Project Manager
  2. Must possess excellent time and task management proficiency
  3. Must be able to proficiently speak, read, write, and understand English fluently
  4. Strong ability to develop partnerships with all levels of personnel
  5. Must possess pricing knowledge as it relates to project plans, budgets, and costs
  6. Excellent presentation, facilitation, and computer skills
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, project scheduling techniques, construction means and methods
  8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  9. Ability to work independently to achieve goals and targets
  10. Ability to organize and prioritize work
  11. Must be able to work in a team environment collaboratively and seamlessly
  12. Must demonstrate proactive and self-sufficient characteristics on a consistent basis
  13. Must prove a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) products
    1. Intermediate level AutoCAD skills are a bonus
  14. Must possess a valid driver's license as the individual is frequently required to drive on behalf of the Company to visit various site locations, and must be able to pass a background check deemed acceptable by the Company

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Must be able to travel as directed to properly provide direction, oversight, and support to general contractors on construction related projects, developments, and questions
  2. Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to thirty (30) pounds
  3. Must be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device as needed when on site visits
  4. Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally
  5. Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
  6. Must be able to operate general computer equipment including laptop, keyboard, and mouse with ease
  7. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time at a desk setting
  8. Must be able to use eyes for the purpose of viewing computer monitors and analyze data for extended periods of time
  9. Must be able to efficiently use ears for the purpose of listening to and analyzing data audibly in order to effectively communicate with various parties including but not limited to staff, general contractors, management, etc.
  10. Must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat)
  11. Must be able to climb stairs, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat)
