Junior Accountant - NonProfit
About our Client:
CFS of New York is working with a Nonprofit organization with a mission centered around serving individuals and families experiencing Homelessness in the community. They are currently experiencing tremendous growth and need a strong Jr. Accountant to join the team.
What you'll do as the Jr. Accountant:
- Review all invoices and prepares check requests and purchase requisitions
- Accurately code all Expenses & Invoices
- Monthly Expense Reports required from current funding sources.
- Provides accounting support to the Executive Management and Financial Management Team
- Maintain logs and fiscal records to ensure accurate data
- Bank reconciliation and maintaining all bank binders for all sites
- Assist Directors during annual audit and in the production of audit schedules.
- Assist with special interdepartmental assignments as assigned.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- 3+ years' work experience in accounting.
- Knowledge of GAAP principles
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong Excel Skills
