Strategic Objective:Chargie, a leading EV charging turnkey service provider, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Journeyman-Foreman Electrician to assist in the electrical installation process of EV charger deployment. The Journeyman-Foreman Electrician will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of charging infrastructure, contributing to the growth and sustainability of electric vehicle adoption. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction and project management.
Detailed Job Duties: - Uses basic hand tools, including battery operated
- Utilizes their knowledge of multi-phase wiring
- Manages EV charger installations
- Bends conduit from " to 1 "
- Places material orders
- Composes bills of materials
- Utilizes their current knowledge of transformers and "large switch gear"
- Performs switch gear, transformer, and load center installations
- Plans and deploys residential/commercial grade electrical infrastructures
- Skilled at managing projects and workload
- Troubleshoots using sophisticated testing equipment
- Interacts with customers to promote a positive experience
Supervisory Responsibilities:Directly supervises 3 employees in the Operations department. Responsible for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring of employees; planning, assigning, scheduling, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:- A.A. Degree from two-year college or technical school in electrical; and over 5 years up to and including 7 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in journeyman-level electrical, including experience leading a team. Experience with Electrical Vehicle Supply Equipment preferred.
- Valid State Driver's License, with a clean record
- Current California Journeyman's License
- Registered with DIR under an electrician category
- OSHA 30 Hour, CPR, and First Aid certifications
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Possess all tools related to the trade to do every aspect of commercial work
Other Skills & Abilities- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate in writing and verbally
- Organized and skilled at multi-tasking
- Clear understanding of the current NEC code
- Working knowledge of local electrical codes and safety codes
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in an independent environment
Requirements
All positions within Chargie require the following (unless otherwise specified or required for the job):- Physical Ability:
- Sit up to 5 hours per day
- Stand up to 5 hours per day
- Lift, carry, push up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to travel as required
- Ability to listen, read, organize thoughts, analyze, and communicate (both in verbal and written form, in English, in a concise and professional manner).
- Ability to type on a keyboard and utilize the computer work tools constantly and with proficiency (specifically the MS Office Suite)

Salary Description
$70,000-$85,000/yr.
