This is a full-time, direct placement for Laketown Electric Corporation

Journeyman / Master Electrician - Laketown Electric is a large commercial and industrial electrical contractor with offices in the Twin Cities, Mankato, and Rochester, MN. Our projects consist of the maintenance and construction of healthcare facilities, commercial buildings, educational facilities and industrial facilities.

Established in 1975, Laketown Electric is celebrating its 45th year in business. We maintain a consistent workload and growth, so we have a strong backlog throughout 2023 and beyond.

Laketown Electric Corporation is seeking multiple Journeyman and Master Electricians to join our award-winning team. A strong preference will be given to those with a combination of the following capabilities: a track record of running successful jobs, neat piping and workmanship, OSHA 10 or 30 certified, working well with others, good communicator, self-sufficiency and being reliable attendance and performance. We are seeking individuals who project a professional image, have a positive attitude, positive leaders, self-starters with a strong work ethic and the ability to run jobs and teach others.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Valid MN Driver's License

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must be willing to travel extensively to / from regional area job sites

• Class A MN Journeyman Electrician License

• Attend continuing education for position

• Interpret construction documents, specifications, verbal and written instructions

• Competent in email and Project Management platforms like Procore

• Work in restricted areas and possibly at heights

• Ability to work on tight deadlines under pressure

• Perform as a self-starter and also a team player

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills with the capability to troubleshoot and make logical project minded decisions

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in all elements depending on job location and time of year

• Must be able to stand, sit, walk, kneel, stoop, or drive for long periods of time

• Must physically be capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs

• Must be physically capable of manually digging and back-filling of holes and trenches

Essential functions:

• Installation of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment

• Set switchgear, panels, and other distribution equipment

• Measure, cut and bend conduit

• Trace out short circuits in wiring, along with troubleshooting other electrical issues

• Make minor electrical repairs

• Maintain tools and equipment

• Identify, evaluate and select prefab opportunities

• Work closely with Master electricians, Foreman, and Project Managers

• Lead apprentices to allow learning and development

• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills with efficient communication

• Manage project files, drawings, documents and records in our system

• Perform in accordance with the National Electrical Code
