With a strong focus on safety and quality processes, we deliver solid results for new construction, expansion, maintenance and capital development and we excel in sanitary and highly regulated industries including pharmaceutical, chemical, flavors & fragrances, food & beverage, as well as most heavy industries.Job Summary: Journeyman electrician applicants shall have a background in industrial electric and controls. Applicants must possess the ability to work independently and be self-motivated. Applicant shall have a positive mindset and an eagerness to learn the ins and outs of our craft. Duties/Responsibilities: Install complete electrical raceways systems such as EMT, RMC, PVC, cable tray, troughs and more. Install wires and cables through electrical raceways. Install panelboards, switchboards, switchgears, MCC, and control panels. Install various forms of switching and receptacle outlet devices. Troubleshoot electrical and controls circuitry and devices up to 480VAC. Install various forms of luminaires. Ensure all electrical installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70). Install motors, transformers, and generators. Install communications, ethernet, and fiber optic lines. Install VFDs, PLC, control relays, power supplies, safety relays, proximity switches, and other instrumentation and control devices. Test electrical systems installation to ensure proper installation and operation. Connect electrical systems to utility power. Participate in continuous safety and electrical education. Travel to different job sites. Work overtime, nights, weekends and or holidays as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to read and understand electrical drawings. Knowledge of electrical systems. Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Ability to use the NEC code book. Proficient in the use of electrical testing equipment. Posses analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot power and control circuits. Ability to bend various size conduits. Ability to program VFDs and PLC is a plus. Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or at least five (5) years of experience working in the electrical industry. Physical Requirements: Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring. Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding. Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Other Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license.
