Job Description Systems Engineer Associate Deliver simple solutions to complex problems as a Systems Engineer Associate with GDIT at the Joint Multinational Simulation Center - Indo Pacific (JMSC-IP); the Pacific's premier simulation complex. Our work depends on a Systems Engineer Expert joining our team to help build and enable the readiness of our Nation's Army in the Pacific. HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER ASSOCIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Performs systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering
Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements.
Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems
Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves operating/hardware system problems
Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned Participates in special projects as required WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: BS/BA in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience
Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience; military experience preferred
Required Technical Skills: Knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques; Knowledge of the associated hardware, software and equipment; Provide network administration on configurations and perform diagnostics on the network infrastructure; voice / data systems architecture; Provide expertise in configuration, management and viability of primary switches, all remote nodes, and various communications devices; Coordinate requirements in conjunction with Network Enterprise Center (NEC), as necessary, to resolve failures of interfaces and networks; Develop operating procedures, monitors the ongoing operation of a complex network environment. Security Clearance Level: SECRET clearance is required with ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance
Required Skills and Abilities: Must meet DoD 8570 IAM I certification (SEC+); Superb communication skills; Must be able to perform with minimal guidance

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
