Software Engineer
Location: Aurora, CO.
Required Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly U.S. Citizenship Mandatory: Due to our US federal government contract, candidates for this position are required to be a US Citizen and will be subject to a background investigation. Job Description: ITEC is seeking a talented Principal Software Engineer to join a talented team that develops enhancements and modifications to existing software systems. The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge with software engineering object-oriented technologies. Qualified applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. Job Responsibilities: Troubleshoot system anomalies related to software, system configuration, network interfaces and operating system issues. Coordinate software installs/upgrades with adherence to Configuration Management (CM) procedures and policies. Software architecture design, development and testing. Develop/maintain system tools and documentation as required.
Required Skills: Must have a current DODI 8570.1-M IAT Level II (Security+ ) (minimum) certification or attain Security + certification within 60 days of hire date. Experience with Eclipse IDE. Java experience within a UNIX/Linux environment. Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Ability to perform all aspects of the software development lifecycle to include requirements definition. Ability to provide a variety of technical solutions for a wide range of difficult problems. Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to clearly communicate with inner-organizational and customer contacts. Required Education: BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline and minimum of 8 years of object oriented software development OR possess the equivalent of 16 years direct experience in lieu of a degree.
