Our challenge

We are looking for a Java Backend Developer. The ideal candidate should have experience working in Java 7 and above, Java 8 is highly preferable.

The Role

Responsibilities :
  • Develop and maintain scalable server-side Java applications.
  • Implement robust RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Design and implement data storage solutions.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of system architecture and design.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, system design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
  • Troubleshoot and debug existing applications.
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
  • Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.


Requirements:

You are:
  • Experience working with multiple teams especially with Middleware Support, Unix, Database Support and Migration Teams.
  • Experience working in Java 7 and above. Java 8 is highly preferable.
  • Strong Understanding of Java / J2EE concepts (Java Servlet, JSP and Struts, Websphere application Servers, Tomcat Application Server)
  • Strong knowledge of Micro Services and understanding of devops tools. (Gitlab preferable)
  • Experience with working in frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring JDBC, Hikari Connection Pooling.
  • Good understanding of application security (OWASP, OAuth2)
  • Good Understanding of Application Infrastructure components like Load balancers, Proxies, SSL, TLS and Cipher Suites.
  • Good knowledge of Single Sign on Implementations
  • Good experience in SQL, PL SQL (Preferably Sybase and Oracle)
It would be great if you also had:
  • Good understanding of SDLC and Release Control is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile methodology is a plus.
