The IT Support Specialist is a friendly, customer-oriented professional who excels in problem solving, communicating, training others, and is committed to seeing problems through to resolution. They are responsible for triaging and supporting all incoming Information Technology support requests. This includes company desktops, laptops, peripherals, software, other connected devices, and network connectivity. The IT Support Specialist is the first point of contact for users who are experiencing technical difficulties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance.
Work with the user to clarify the reported problem and collect details as necessary to solve the problem.
Perform remote and desk side troubleshooting, using diagnostic tools or techniques, to resolve customer problems.
See issues through to resolution, following up and updating customer as needed.
Escalate issues, as needed, to higher level support personnel.
Document all support related activities in help desk tickets.
Develop and manage knowledge base articles and guides to streamline and standardize the troubleshooting processes.
Install, modify, and repair computers, peripherals, and software as needed by the business.
Assist in the coordination of employee moves, adds, changes including computers, mobile devices, and VoIP systems.
Troubleshoot connectivity issues reported by users, including both wired and wireless network configurations.
Ensure proper configuration and maintenance of network connected devices and services.
Participate in technology related projects as requested.
Train users on IT-provided hardware, software, and services.
Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
Associate's degree or higher in an Information Technology related field.
CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certifications are a plus.
Strong knowledge of Windows 10 or higher, hardware and software installation, and client management.
Familiarity with iPhone setup, troubleshooting, and configuration.
Experience installing and supporting PC peripherals, such as docks, multiple displays, and printers.
Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
Ability to:
Collaborate with others and work effectively in a team environment
Work independently with minimum supervision while prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines and solve problems.
Comfortably support users over the phone or in person, including remote sites and users.
Manage time and take the initiative to plan and complete assigned work with a high level of accuracy.
Minimal travel.
