You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (SYSADMIN/CUSTSPT) specifically focused on the administration and support for Command and Control, communication, Computer and Intelligence (C4I) Systems. You will maintain military tactical systems and associated workstations by installing, configuring, and troubleshooting each respective systems in accordance with supporting technical documentation. You will develop tests, and evaluate interoperability procedures for these systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code IT SPECIALIST, proficiency level 11 the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification is mandatory within 6 months of assignment to position as required by DODI 5870.1M. Misuse of Government IT systems is cause for disciplinary action, including removal. Temporary Assigned Duty (TAD) is a requirement of this position in order to attend training and conference as directed. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Installing, configuring, deploying, maintaining and managing software systems, database servers, web servers, active directory services, DNS servers and HBSS/ACAS services in order to provide services to end users in an enterprise network environment. In addition to the specialized experience stated above your resume must demonstrate one year of experience supporting the following competencies: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: reviewing and evaluating security impacts of system changes. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provide support on IT procurement requests for software/hardware and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provide training to fellow team members. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Identify resources to be protected and find solutions.
