Duties You will develop, maintain, and track computer security accreditations and documentation in accordance with policy and procedures. You will track changes to the system baselines and updates documentation in accordance with regulations. You will provide administrative services on public release of technical material, classification of hardware or documentation, procedures for movement and handling of classified material. You will perform risk assessments which support the cybersecurity efforts for all applicable systems. You will monitor and inspect security systems, and review security plans. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 451 level Basic within 12 months of appointment. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications DS-05 Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-04 pay band in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the public or private sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to some or all of the following: 1) Managing and monitoring risks to information systems; 2) Performing risk assessments to support cybersecurity efforts; 3) Monitoring and recording metrics for each assessment which include onsite and remote laboratory security practices, configuration management processes, and technical configurations; and 4) Understanding technical standards and requirements. DS-04 Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1.
