Client: State of New York Job Title: IT Specialist Duration: 30 Months Start Date: ASAP Location: Buffalo, NY 14209 Position Type: Contract Interview Type: In Person/Web Cam Working Hours: 40 Hours per Week Short Description: The ITS Specialist-Senior position will provide technical assistance and assesment of desginated NYS OMH facilities via the NYS ITS Network Site Consultation process. This will include but not limited to circuit bandwidth, Voice Over IP (VoIP) phone system upgrades and wireless upgrades. The position will require travel to complete the physical site assessments.
Responsibilities: - Consultant will work on equipment installation, relocation and removal.
- The consultant will be working on VOIP phones, WAPS, and data communications equipment for supporting the NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH).
- Consultant will participate in the planning and execution of all phases of project including: request analysis, site surveys, site preparation, cable trouble-shooting and installation, asset management, inventory control, and network assistance.
Required Skills: - Experience installing/troubleshooting wireless network infrastructure
- Experience installing/troubleshooting VOIP phones
- Experience installing/troubleshooting data communications equipment
- Experience conducting technical site surveys
