Job Description BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY: The IT Security Administrator provides support services to the business unit, helping resolve technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop, mobile devices, printers, and network services. Additionally, this role supports the Facility Security lead in the security administration duties. This is an onsite role at the Sierra Technical Services Business Unit, CA site with some hybrid work schedule available. Standard onsite business hours of 7:00AM-4:45 PM PT. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Provide onsite and technical support to the business unit, including troubleshooting hardware, standardized and proprietary software, telephones, mobile devices, VPN, printers, telephony, and network connectivity in coordination with Kratos IT remote support.
Configure, deploy, and repurpose IT equipment devices to established procedures. Maintains Windows desktop and laptop computers in an enterprise environment.
Coordinate, troubleshoot and resolve incoming tickets, phone call and walk-up requests.
Ensures priority support to site leadership, including deadline driven or after-hours assistance as needed to support the business. Serves as an onsite resource for community and users within IT. Additionally, assists with team maintenance and deployment efforts, including occasional after-hours support and/or participation in the on-call support rotation
Maintains/recommends changes to business unit processes and procedures while ensuring adherence to information system security policies and procedures.
Uses the IT Service Desk electronic ticketing system according to department procedures for the opening, closing, resolution, escalation, and tracking of user requests.
Monitor queue regularly and dispense tickets to the applicable department or resource.
Resolve 70% - 80% of all assigned tickets, and coordinates escalation to the appropriate Information Technology staff and/or vendor(s) for those requests that fall outside scope of assigned role.
Manage user accounts, shared resources, and group memberships.
May support multiple segments within the organization and builds on technical knowledge in those sectors.
May provide access and connectivity support to external customers as needed.
Notify leadership of any changes within site that may cause a change in volume, escalation, major outage, server issue, major move, and/or staffing issue.
Maintains site IT desktop hardware and peripherals, including procurement, recycling, or destruction per department process to company security requirements.
Participates in the development and implementation of security procedures.
Works with FSO to develop operational information systems security.Leverages guidance pertinent to all applicable directives and publications
Participates in the generation and maintenance of RMF documentation.
Maintains, per individual system and its accreditation, a baseline of configuration, hardware, software, and firmware for the business unit, and is the coordination interface with Kratos IT.
Ensure all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before granting access to the network share.
Maintains a working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards and operational security measures.
Ensures adherence to these information system security policies and procedures.
Ensures proper procedures are followed, per the Cyber Incident Response Plan, when information system security incidents are discovered.
Disseminates appropriate documentation to all applicable personnel.
Assists with coordination between Kratos Security and Defense and Government authorities regarding system security posture requirements.
Participates in information system security inspections, tests, and reviews.
Maintains a working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards and operational security measures.
Assist with development of an effective information system security education, training, and awareness program.
Interfaces with internal and external customers, program managers, IT, security staff, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to effectively communicate professionally in writing or verbally with all levels of personnel. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science
Proven hardware and software experience, including Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Adobe products, VPN, Smartphone, as well as other out-of-the box, and proprietary software, and MFP's/printers.
Networking experience, including wired and wireless troubleshooting and basic VPN connectivity issues.
Current CompTIA A+ or Security+ certification required.
ITILv4 strongly preferred. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Security + or Higher Certification WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Office and/or manufacturing environment
Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb stairs
May work extended hours or weekends and have on-call schedule/duties. TRAVELREQUIREMENTS:
