IT Risk Management/IT Controls Manager

Job Description

To lead and manage support to including: working with the CEO/COO to firm wide solutions within Asset Management US ("AMUS").

Lead local requirements and oversee transformational and strategic priorities. Support CEO/COO on development of plans

Work in partnership with IT Team to coordinate solutions required to meet the needs of AMUS

Coordinate the SOC 1 Review. Responsible for working with the auditors to coordinate the reviews, planning, documentation, management commentary, etc.

Responsible for coordination of vendor support, onboarding and oversight including TPNV monthly screening process.

Support executive management in the formulation, development and delivery of client led and commercially viable strategies

To deliver projects identified by the CEO/COO for AMUS to agreed deadlines and budgets

Provide constructive challenge to existing practices/proposed initiatives

Customers / Stakeholders

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the local and global AMG management team and global support functions, particularly around prioritization and implementation of deliverables

Identify and work with appropriate AMG management and Group functions to ensure Group policy, standards, consistency and efficiencies are complied with

Leadership & Teamwork

Talent management and succession planning.

Work with team in Bangalore GSC on business management functions performed for AMUS

Operational Effectiveness & Control

Develop, execute and monitor the third party risk management processes for the oversight and due diligence of non-client contracts

Ensure appropriate governance structures are in place within the responsibilities of the jobholder

Major Challenges

This role requires the jobholder to work across geographic and functional teams to create and implement management frameworks and processes to achieve the objectives using the global functions. Success will be shaped by the job holder's ability, through negotiation and collaborative working, to secure and prioritise the necessary but scarce resources needed to implement change, without the underlying authority for those resources.

The asset management business faces significant regulatory change and increasing regulatory focus going forward, the jobholder is responsible for understanding that change and implementing, with key stakeholders, solutions to optimize the firms proposition for delivery in the USA.

Management of Risk

To manage and continually re-assess the operational risks and compliance objectives within defined teams in AMUS

Observation of Internal Controls

Maintains bank's internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.

Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.

Understand the Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles, Global Asset Management's TCF philosophy and how this affects your role. Act in a manner that takes account of these principles to ensure fair outcomes for customers

Key Requirements:

An understanding of the asset management landscape and developing strategy and execution

Proven previous experience in vendor processes

Confidence and track record in building solid working relationships with key stakeholders.

Ability to manage and prioritize the needs of multiple stakeholders.

Focused and analytical individual with strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to interact with senior management and make measured decisions which may have far-reaching implications.

Demonstrable evidence of building and delivering against a strategic vision whilst having the ability to understand detail and processes.

An understanding of the product delivery environment and lifecycle is preferable but not essential.

Ability to support decisions with sound reasoning. Ability to clearly articulate business and regulatory implications of analysis and findings.

Highly motivated self starter with proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and who can influence and motivate people around them.
