We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong background in managing Service Desk operations, IT hardware, and telephony systems within the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will possess excellent project management skills, experience working with IT vendors, and effective leadership abilities. This role requires a proactive individual who can oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they align with the strategic goals of the organization and are delivered on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:


Project Management:




    • Lead and manage IT projects related to Service Desk operations, IT hardware, and telephony systems from initiation through completion.

    • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, risk management, and resource allocation.

    • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.

    • Track project progress, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure successful completion.

    • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.

    • Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and business objectives.



Service Desk Management:




    • Oversee the implementation and optimization of Service Desk processes and workflows.

    • Monitor Service Desk performance metrics, analyze data, and generate reports for continuous improvement.

    • Provide leadership and support to Service Desk teams, ensuring high levels of customer service and technical support.

    • Implement best practices and ITIL methodologies to enhance Service Desk operations.



IT Hardware Management:




    • Manage the procurement, deployment, and maintenance of IT hardware assets, including computers, servers, and peripherals.

    • Develop and enforce hardware lifecycle management policies and procedures.

    • Ensure hardware compliance with organizational standards and industry best practices.

    • Liaise with vendors for procurement, support, and warranty services.



Telephony Systems Management:




    • Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of telephony systems, including VoIP and traditional phone systems.

    • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of telephony infrastructure.

    • Collaborate with telecommunications providers for issue resolution and system upgrades.

    • Develop and maintain telephony usage policies and ensure adherence.



Vendor Management:




    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with IT vendors and service providers.

    • Negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).

    • Coordinate with vendors to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of products and services.



Leadership and Collaboration:




    • Lead cross-functional project teams, providing direction, support, and motivation.

    • Foster a collaborative environment and promote effective communication among team members and stakeholders.

    • Prepare and deliver regular project updates, status reports, and presentations to senior management.

    • Mentor and develop team members, promoting professional growth and knowledge sharing.



Manufacturing Industry Focus:




    • Understand and address the unique IT needs and challenges of the manufacturing industry.

    • Ensure IT projects support manufacturing operations, including production, quality control, and supply chain management.

    • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to integrate IT solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • PMP, or equivalent project management certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, specifically with Service Desk, IT hardware, and telephony systems.

  • Proven experience working in the manufacturing industry.

  • Strong understanding of ITIL framework and best practices.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
