Location Mary Esther, FL Fort Walton Beach, FL Responsibilities As a Systems Engineer Senior, the candidate will be a Technologist who will work closely with a team of dedicated multi-disciplined professionals in supporting customer mission objectives. You'll work on Developing, Engineering, and Fielding of the Warfighter Worldwide Network (WWN) enterprise, providing Command and Control capabilities to Special Operators and supporting AFSOC Training Transformation efforts. You will collaborate with coworkers, partners, stakeholders, and users to create effective solutions, providing delivery and support for next-generation technologies across a wide-range of services and emerging capabilities that bridge the gap between on traditional networks and systems, cloud compute technologies, augmented reality and virtual reality systems, and the warfighter. The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of IT Systems and Network architectures. In this role you will: Design and define system and network architectures for new or existing systems, services, and next-generation solutions
Ensure solutions and activities delivered are aligned with the strategy and vision of the organization and tenant customers
Adopt and implement automation practices to ensure solutions delivered remain elastic, highly available, and fault tolerant within a commercial cloud service provider and on-premises worldwide mission network ecosystem
Collaborate with fellow teammates on complex problems, and recommend solutions
Participate in design discussions pertaining to Future State, Concepts, and planned or active Development & Engineering projects
Assist in the deconstruction and interpretation of requirements supporting team projects
Commit to staying abreast of both emerging technologies and evolving customer goals and objectives
Engage with stakeholders and supporting teams, and ensuring customer expectations, satisfaction, and risks are managed
Adhere to standards, policies, protocols, procedures, and best practices that embody "Best of Breed" Development & Engineering
Brief and/or support stakeholder briefings on planned and active projects and activities, as needed
Maintain routine contact with tenants, stakeholders, and users to ensure service satisfaction

Be adaptive in a fast-passed environment, provide solutions to difficult "Never Done Before" requirements, and be proud of the services you deliver to Special Operations Forces Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Highly experienced working knowledge of information systems and applications, terrestrial and software defined networks
Strong familiarization with current Redhat Enterprise Linux and Windows operating systems
Strong understanding of Aruba, Juniper, and Cisco Networking technologies and applications
Strong familiarity with diverse systems and technologies including but not limited to: HBSS, ACAS, Splunk, Taclanes, Virtualization Tools (VMWare), Firewalls, VPNs, Networks (Juniper/Cisco), Wireless systems (Aruba / Cisco), Controllers, Mobile Devices (Android & iOS)
Knowledge of Development, Engineering, Integration & Testing processes
Ability to interpret specifications, and create resilient, reliable, cost-effective solutions
Ability to produce DoDAF Architecture viewpoints
Proficient in virtualization technologies, scripting, and native services offerings within AWS
Strong understanding of DoD Cyber Security standards including Security Technical Implementation Guides and Risk Management Framework
Must be familiar with DoDIN services and infrastructures
Must have experience working with extensive technologies and C4I systems in support of the DoD
Excellent communication skills Desired, but not required: Automation expertise using industry standard tools (e.g. Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, Ansible, etc.) to deploy and sustain cloud-based solutions and/or services
Exposure to, or experience using ASCIIDocs
Familiarity with Information Technology Information Library (ITIL) Foundations
DevOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD and solutions delivery experience using AWS Cloud environments
2+ years' experience in implementing or sustaining enterprise-level solutions in a production Cloud and/or on-premises environments with extensive use of automation methodologies and continuous monitoring tools
2+ years' administering systems and services in the AWS Cloud Security Requirements Must have a SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI (TS/SCI) Physical Demands Lift over 35 LBS Work Environment Work environment is administrative office, server rooms, and IT Lab areas Education, Certification and Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline AND 8 years' experience in related work OR 12+ years of combined educations experience in related DoD and Commercial industry IT
5+ years' experience designing, implementing, and sustaining cyber compliant systems and services
Certifications:
Current 8570.01M certification required (Minimum Sec+CE)
Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) or higher Juniper certification
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Aruba Certified Professional (ACP)
Additional certification preferred
