Job Description Job Description Job Title: IT ManagerThe IT Manager will play a key role in leading the Information Technology department. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proven track record of successful IT management. The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of information systems and technology solutions to support the city's operations and initiatives. Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Planning: - Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the city's goals and objectives. - Collaborate with department heads to understand their technology needs and provide solutions.2. Team Leadership: - Supervise and mentor IT staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. - Ensure the IT team delivers high-quality services and support to all city departments.3. Infrastructure Management: - Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of the city's IT infrastructure. - Evaluate and recommend upgrades to hardware, software, and network systems.4. Project Management: - Lead IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery. - Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.5. Security and Compliance: - Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect the city's digital assets. - Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.6. Budget Oversight: - Develop and manage the IT budget, optimizing resources and ensuring cost-effectiveness. - Provide regular reports to senior management on budgetary performance. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred).- Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) in IT management roles, preferably within a government or public sector environment.- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and emerging technologies.- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.- Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.- Familiarity with government regulations and compliance standards.
