IT Helpdesk Specialist

SMV Recruiting is currently looking for an IT Help Desk (Tier I) to work onsite for our client in Oswego, NY. Our client is a family-oriented organization within the banking industry, experiencing rapid growth, and strongly committed to promoting their employees from within. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's and/or an Associate's in IT or Computer Science and 1-3+ years experience in IT. In addition, it would be great if you had experience in the following programs: Cisco Network/Cisco Meraki, Active Directory, Smartsheet, Windows, Cyber Security and Anti-Virus programs. This is a full-time, on-site Tier I/Entry-Level position offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. FYI, this is a direct hire role.

Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to 50 employees via phone and email, troubleshooting issues locally and remotely
Complete an average of 5 tickets per day in the Smartsheet ticketing system
Enhance and expand the Active Directory by adding computers into the domain, etc.
Install and maintain data communication systems, offering guidance on complex computer operating systems
Manage side projects including maintaining the website and documents
Maintain databases and ensure security measures are up to date utilizing security software
Manage documentation to meet security regulations
Coordinate technology resources and vendor services
Evaluate technology proposals and contractsert
Research new technologies and evaluate hardware/software upgrades

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and/or an Associate's degree in IT or Computer Science or related field is strongly preferred
1-3+ years hands on experience in IT or technology is strongly desired
Cisco Networking/Cisco Meraki, Active Directory, Anti-virus software, SmartSheet and Cyber Security software experience is strongly preferred
Experience in the banking or finance industry is strongly desired

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
