Join our client's team as a IT Contract Specialist . This is a new full-time opportunity for one of our clients in Denver, Colorado. The client is a local government agency who is looking for a proactive individual to enhance business processes by analyzing requirements, collaborating with teams, and implementing effective systems solutions.

Position: IT Contract Specialist

Duration: Full time

Location: Denver, CO

The IT Contract Specialist will manage the IT procurement process, following each procurement from proposal to expiration with a focus on the document management of supplier contract relationships. This position holds responsibility for development of complex procurements and must use judgement and resourcefulness to ensure compliance with client's Fiscal Rules, Procurement Rules, and other regulations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL:
  • Reviews and analyzes new procurement requests, independently prepares procurement documents, and works with the Contracting and Procurement Division to facilitate the competitive procurement process.
  • Manages renewal of IT contracts, independently prepares procurement documents, and works with the Contracting and Procurement Division to ensure timely contract extensions.
  • Prepares and processes all contract amendment documentation then submits to Contracting and Procurement Division
  • Independently resolves issues and problems related to procurement documents and identifies issues or problems that should be escalated to a higher level.
  • Monitor all requests in the procurement cycle to assure completion and prepare bi-weekly reporting for IT Leadership of all active and pending procurements.
  • Maintain a contract management tracking database that lists all executed contracts, as well as contracts that are under development but are not yet active.
  • Participates on proposal evaluation committee when appropriate.
  • Collaborates with IT stakeholders to improve transparency, accountability, ensuring adherence with procurement policies and procedures, increase competition and Contractor quality.
  • Provides guidance and training to IT stakeholders regarding the procurement process.
