Job Overview

The IT Asset Management Specialist is responsible for keeping a comprehensive record of all assets-related data in proper record keeping along with developing, implementing, communicating, and maintaining the IT Asset Management standards, processes, and procedures. Managing the asset discovery processes to ensure up-to-date and accurate inventory and lastly ensuring that adequate governance is in place and the processes are being executed successfully.



In this role, you will

  • Responsible for creating, documenting, following, and maintaining IT asset management process.
  • Track and report on the location, description, and associated user information for hardware and software technology assets as well as assign ownership.
  • Coordinate with onsite technicians on the deployment and availability of IT assets.
  • Utilize client tools to accurately track asset assignment and location.
  • Physically receive any HIS equipment from the shipping dock and move it into storage.
  • Scan and Asset Tag equipment for inventory.
  • Import received equipment into the Freshservice tool.
  • Respond to any tickets in Freshservice assigned to Asset Management requesting equipment.
  • Stage equipment for the Desktop Team to pick up for all requests.
  • Update the status, location, and user of the asset being deployed by the Desktop Team.
  • Assist the Desktop Team and Special Projects Team with any additional equipment requests as needed.
  • Coordinate equipment deliveries and pick up to and from multiple locations for inventory or storage.
  • Receive, scan, stage, and prepare forms for any old equipment from the Desktop team for e-waste.
  • Requests quotes for equipment when there is a request for PO.
  • Forward quotes to finance to request a requisition for PO.
  • Create a PO in Freshservice for any equipment being quoted/ordered once Finance submits a requisition.
  • Assist Security with their request for PCs to be removed from the Absolute Data Base rack and report on the location, description, and associated user information for hardware and software technology assets.
