ISSO Mid with Security Clearance

Title ISSO Mid Location Nellis AFB Description Markesman Group is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mid-Level Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team. The ISSO will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and compliance of our information systems by performing system audits, managing accounts and access, writing Request for Approvals (RFA), participating in inspections, and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of system functions and security measures. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred Active TS/SCI Clearance Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in information systems security or related field. Familiarity with security regulations and guidelines such as NIST, FISMA, and DoD directives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CISM are a plus.Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a government or defense contracting environment. Knowledge of risk management frameworks such as RMF. Experience with security assessment and authorization processes. Familiarity with security tools and technologies for vulnerability scanning and risk assessment.
