JOB TITLE: INVENTORY SPECIALIST DEPARTMENT: OPERATIONS REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT PRIMARY FUNCTION The Inventory Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the inventory attached to the Platform Aerospace and customer fleets of aircraft are kept current in all relevant databases. This is inclusive of routine and non-routine maintenance, drawing/part revisions, initial production, sparing inventory management, and customer property. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Function as the Veryon Subject Matter Expert for the company.
Develop and run process for tracking failures of equipment and report metrics.
Develop and run process for tracking average work hours on scheduled maintenance.
Track consumed parts across all Vanilla sites and advise project managers and key stakeholders on usage. Assist with reorders when needed.
Collaborate with project team and stakeholders to understand configuration management requirements on assigned projects
Assist with inventory retention efforts as inventory is updated
Implement approved modifications across fielded inventory where required
Ensure part numbering and serialization standards are maintained fleet wide
Streamline processes and collaborate as needed to improve efficiency within the company
Analyze data and business processes to promote optimization opportunities; report metrics to Directors and Executive team
Audit Vanilla site locations inventory to ensure database accuracy
Ensure production items are entered into Veryon database with high level of accuracy
BASIC REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma/GED or higher
2-5 years relevant experience
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Extreme attention to detail
High level of organization
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
Ability to collaborate with others and work in a team setting
Ability to concentrate while performing complex tasks for sustained periods
Critical thinking/problem solving skills

Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS 2-5 years of experience in an aerospace/manufacturing inventory control environment
Working knowledge of inventory management
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Veryon Experience (Previously FlightDocs)
