Staff RNs needed for Griffin Hospital's growing Radiology and Cardiology program. The Radiology and Cardiology departments provide a full array of diagnostic testing as well as perform invasive procedures. Invasive procedures are performed in CT, US, Interventional Radiology, Mammography, Echocardiography, MRI, and the Cardiac Stress Laboratory and are supported by nursing staff. The departments' staff RN will provide direct nursing care and be responsible for pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post- procedure care as it relates to invasive procedures performed in Radiology and Cardiology. This position will provide support to all sections within Radiology and Cardiology. The Radiology/Cardiology staff RN position will include, but is not limited to, participation in invasive procedures as directed by scope of practice guidelines, patient assessment, pain management, patient safety, invasive procedure patient flow, and moderate sedation. Typical invasive procedures performed in Radiology and Cardiology/Neurology include, but are not limited to, epidural injections, disc decompression studies, vertebroplasty procedures, vent insertions, PICC line insertions, hysterosalpingograms, TEE procedures, pharmacologic stress tests, biopsy procedures, drainages and biopsies performed under CT or US guidance, breast biopsy procedures performed in Mammography, US or MRI, and other standard Interventional Radiology procedures. The Radiology/ Cardiology staff RN position requires a CT State nursing license and a minimum of 2 years experience. BSN level candidate preferred but will be required after hire. ACLS certification is required. PALS certification preferred. A strong background in cardiac monitoring is required. A high level of computer competency is preferred. Interventional/Invasive Radiology experience is preferred. EOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disabled
