Intramural Ref/Scorekeeper

Job Title Intramural Ref/Scorekeeper 2024/2025 Job Description Intramural Referees and Scorekeepers serve their respective roles during assigned Intramural games throughout the sport seasons. They provide an atmosphere of fun in a competitive, yet safe, inclusive, and equitable environment. They implement policies and procedures in order to maintain an appropriate level of control, fairness and safety, while maintaining a positive attitude and positive brand of the RecWell Department at all times. Job Duties Provide game management while creating a safe, inclusive and equitable environment Track the score of each team Assist with any pre and post-game logistics Help with set up and tear down of events Collaborate with the supervisors to verify participant eligibility Attend any required trainings or clinics Provide a friendly, upbeat and customer service-oriented environment Demonstrate flexibility while on the field or court Successfully manage conflict that may arise during games Required Qualifications In good standing with the College Dependable Able to multi-task, make decisions and problem solve in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of different sports rules and regulations Prior scorekeeping or referring Ability to remain calm under pressure and communicate clearly CPR/First Aid certification Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Previous customer service experience Physical Demands Occasionally required to stand for long/extended periods of time. Regularly required to move about. Regularly required to maintain balance while walking, standing, crouching, or running. Occasionally required to reach up and out with hands & arms. Regularly required to talk and hear; verbally express information or instructions. Regularly required to use hands to grasp objects, pick up objects, move objects or hold objects. Occasionally required to lift up to 45 pounds and carry a distance of 10 feet. Occasionally required to push and/or pull up to 45 pounds a distance of 10 feet.
