Interventional Technologist

Position Assists the physician in the performance of interventional radiological procedures, which include the use of sterile gowning and technique, and/or circulating in the operating room to operate all equipment necessary to provide imaging and patient care during the procedure. Primary Position Responsibilities 1.Scrub in and assist the physician tableside during an interventional (surgical) procedure. 2.Circulate within the procedure room to operate all equipment necessary to perform the procedure. 3.Position the patient, select radiation exposure parameters, and acquire diagnostic images. Qualifications Minimum Education: Associate Degree in Radiologic Sciences preferred Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required: 1-2 years experience as a Radiographer required License, Registry or Certification: Required: ARRT Registry in Radiography and Interventional Radiography or registry-eligible and NJDEP Xray License. Current CPR/BLS certification for Health Care Providers Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Required: Ability to follow specific instructions. Good communication skills.
