Internal Relations Specialist with Security Clearance

Internal Relations Specialist Location: Washington, DC
Years of Experience: 5+
Degree: BA/BS in Communications, English, Public Relations or related field
Clearance: SECRET We need motivated candidates with communications project management, writing and editorial, and internal relations/workforce engagement experience to support a government communications contract. This position will support command communications activities, including:
• Researching and drafting messages for a 3,500-person headquarters workforce and a 40,000-person nationwide enterprise.
• Developing and executing surveys for the workforce, and providing analysis of survey results.
• Assist with planning and execution of engagement events (Town Halls, etc.)
• Researching and developing workforce news copy conforming to established style guides.
• Developing concepts for new workforce communication initiatives to support strategic objectives of a multi-billion-dollar acquisition activity. The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
• Demonstrated project management, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated experience with workforce surveys.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of written communications, including demonstrated experience in writing, editing, and proofing.
• Ability to translate complex technical, legal, legislative, regulatory and statistical information into plain language for a variety of audiences.
• Ability to assess operational environment and recommend creative communication solutions within a deadline driven, fast-paced environment.
• Strong project management skills with ability to take project from concept to completion.
• Experience interacting with Senior level military and civilian personnel.
• Understanding of the Associated Press style guide.
