Internal Medicine Physician (Inpatient and Outpatient) - Hawthorne, NJ

Responsibilities:

Patient Consultation and Examination
Conduct thorough patient consultations to understand medical history, symptoms, and health concerns.
Perform comprehensive physical examinations, including routine check-ups and preventive screenings.
Diagnosis and Treatment
Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions, including but not limited to infectious diseases, cardiovascular disorders, diabetes, and respiratory issues.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, considering evidence-based practices and patient preferences.
Prescribe medications, therapies, and other medical interventions, ensuring compliance with practice guidelines and state laws.
Monitor and manage medication regimens, adjusting prescriptions as needed based on patient response and evolving medical conditions.
Patient Education
Educate patients on their medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
Provide guidance on lifestyle modifications, including diet, exercise, and stress management.
Diagnostic Testing and Interpretation
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and screenings.
Analyze test results to determine accurate diagnoses and inform treatment plans.
Inpatient and Outpatient Care:
Provide comprehensive care for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Manage and coordinate patient care across various healthcare settings, ensuring continuity of care.
Collaboration and Referral
Collaborate with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Make referrals to medical specialists when necessary, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare.
Documentation and Recordkeeping
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting medical history, treatment plans, and test results.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for medical documentation.
Research and Continuing Education
Stay informed about the latest medical advancements and research findings.
Participate in continuing education activities to enhance professional knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Successful completion of the Internal Medicine Certification Examination.
Certification by The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in internal medicine.
Valid and active medical license in the state of New Jersey.
Exceptional attention to detail.
