About the role The Process Engineering Intern performs various duties in a manufacturing environment, business system product configuration set-up, product testing, document control, running tests, supporting trials and process engineering projects. Department: Engineering Mentor's Title: Lead Process Engineer Start Date: May or June 2024 Compensation: Paid Duration: Summer 2024 Location: On-site Work Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week Responsibilities Supports the development of new processes, products, procedures, and systems for LAN Cables. Helps with standardization or simplification of the manufacturing floor processes and procedures. Supports product trials and tests on the manufacturing floor. Works with the process engineering team on creation and modification of engineering documentation related to manufacturing of LAN Cables. Prepares periodic project and activity reports and delivers presentations to management on projects as directed or assigned. Develops Process Standards, Standard Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures. Qualifications Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional, multicultural team environment and ability to understand technical concepts Demonstrated problem-solving skills Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills Functional experience with statistical modeling software such as JMP would be desired Experience with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Access, and Word Education & Experience Undergraduate student working towards an Engineering degree.
