Interior Design Intern

Hamilton Partners has an opportunity for an Interior Design Intern in Itasca, Illinois. The Intern will assist with various design, planning and construction related tasks. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to work independently and prioritize tasks. They will assist the Director of Design & Project Management and Director of Marketing with relevant jobs. This position encompasses a variety of duties that include, but are not limited to: Verify/measure spaces and document in AutoCAD Assist with space planning in AutoCAD Catalog furniture and equipment Attend project related meetings & site visits Assist in day-to-day office tasks (project filing, maintaining library etc.) Photograph vacant and completed spaces with Matterport QUALIFICATIONS: Currently in pursuit of Bachelors degree in Interior Design, Architecture or other related fields required. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Adobe Design Suites General knowledge of architectural construction drawings Knowledge of In-Design, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Matterport is a plus Strong attention to detail and good organization skills Collaborative, team-player Excellent interpersonal communication & ability to communicate professionally Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle JOB TYPE: Internship from May, 2024 through August, 2024 WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION: 3+/- days per week, 12-20 hours per week Itasca, with 20% travel to various properties in Buffalo Grove, Oak Brook Terrace, & Downers Grove.
