Summary You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/ARCHITECT in the Planning, Design and Construction Directorate (PDC) Core Design Division (PDC4), Project Planning Branch (PDC) of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII. This position will be filled at:
General Engineer (0801) OR Architect (0808) Duties You will detect problem areas in project planning and recommends special actions for their resolution. You will identify areas for improvement, study processes, recommend changes, study impact, and assist with implementations. You will exercise extensive knowledge of standards, codes and practices of project planning, engineering or architecture governing the identification, execution and delivery of technical product and services. You will conduct formal presentation and briefings to high-level civilian and military leaders. You will explain, explore, justify decisions, resolve controversies and/or conflicting project development issues resulting from planning/design criteria, engineering studies and design standards. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Overseeing the production of a variety of project planning products and services; 2)Using multiple automated systems and instructions associated with project planning products and services; 3) Investigating and resolving problems in project planning and recommending special actions for their resolutions; 4) Reviewing work performed under contracts for accuracy, adequacy, completeness, and conformity with contract and customer requirements; and 5) Identifying areas for improvement, recommending changes, studying impacts, and assisting with implementation. Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
