This position reports to the WTCC Training Program Supervisor and is responsible for implementing the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process, with a focus on job/task analysis, objective/test question design and content development in accordance with requirement area procedures and practices. This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS Assist with requirement area surveillances and assessments of performance to ensure instructional staff personnel are performing their assignments in accordance with approved requirement area procedures and practices. Ensures the formal SAT process as prescribed in local procedures is correctly and adequately implemented in the generation of 'formal' training products required for compliance with DOE O 426.2. Performs the formal SAT process resulting in the creation of, but not limited to: Job position task lists, training determinations, Task-to-Training Matrices, Design of training objectives, development of training materials (e.g., classroom lesson plans, On The Job Training (OJT), Performance Demonstrations, Computer Based Training (CBT), etc.), and evaluation of generated training materials for effectiveness. Analyzes training requests for new and existing training programs and products Participates in training program evaluations Supports training management expectations to ensure consistent adherence to the SAT process Performs data input and manipulation in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Works to a production schedule meeting project and industry standards for material produced. Supports a strong Nuclear Safety Quality Culture (NSQC) by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES NA Education: High School diploma and Education or training in the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process and A minimum of 6 years of instructional design experience (e.g., Positional Job Task Analysis, Training Objective Design, Training material development) additional WTCC Requirements Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Preferred Candidates' Requirements Will have a baccalaureate degree in education or training, and a minimum of 6 years of instructional design experience Will have instructional design experience in Nuclear: Operations, Maintenance, Laboratory or Engineering fields. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity. This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS HIRING SALARY RANGE: $87,011.43 - $133,126.59 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
