Nesco Resource is in search of an Inside Sales Representative to work one of our clients based in Shelton, CT.

SUMMARY:
The Inside Sales Representative will assist the sales team with the sourcing and sales of specialty ingredients in nutritional, pharmaceutical, and health and personal care sectors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist sales team with growth by means of helping to develop new customers, suppliers, and products.
  • Sourcing capabilities
  • Collaborate and work cross-functionally with other members of the team.
  • Assist with inventory management levels to support business.
  • Assist in managing the sales cycle from procurement through payment of invoice.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of strategies to improve sales results.
  • Provide written reports on sales and development activities as may be needed.
  • Monitor customer samples from tracking information through to customer feedback.
  • Follow up on customer quotations submitted by Product Manager.
  • Assist in creation of new part numbers.
  • Work with Accounting as needed on proper posting of receivables and to assist on receivables as may be needed.
  • Participate in virtual sales calls and occasional in-person sales calls.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales and Marketing, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Chemistry or related field and 3+ years of experience in sales support and inventory management within a global chemical distribution or trading company.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Must be highly organized and possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have excellent organization and be capable of handling multiple tasks while prioritizing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess strong follow up skills.
  • The candidate should have excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Must have great interpersonal skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service.
  • The ideal candidate should have a positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude, be proactive, responsible, problem/solution oriented and flexible to the needs of the business.
  • Strong knowledge of sales and inventory reporting software, as well as excellent technology skills (MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in IFS a plus.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • Direct hire with excellent benefits
  • Salary range: $65 - $75K depending on experience
  • Hybrid work schedule: 2 days in the office and 3 days remote working from home
