Inpatient Gastroenterology Locums Opportunity

Level I Trauma Center in central Michigan Location needs multiple Gastroenterologists for locums coverage as soon as credentialed/ongoing.

-24/hr coverage consisting of 8a-4:30 on-site and pager call at night
-Currently joining one other GI Physician and an APP
-Coverage is needed for ED/inpatient consults, rounding, call and inpatient procedures.
-Volume consists of 20-22 patient encounters per day (typically 5 follow ups, 10-12 new patients, 2-4 procedures)
-Providers typically come into the hospital 1 in 7 nights while on call.
-Documentation System/EMR: Epic
-Required Procedures: Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
-ERCP Preferred but not a requirement.
-Required Types of Upper GI Endoscopy: Diagnostic, Therapeutic with Biopsy, with Foreign Body Removal
-BE/BC Required
-MI License Required
-BLS/ACLS Credentialing is 90-120 days. Willing to consider those needing to obtain a license but preference will be given to those already licensed. Preference will be given to those who can provide the most coverage.

We are offering competitive compensation, around $3500-$4000/day, plus call back $350+/hr, along with paid travel, and complimentary. medical malpractice coverage.
