Inpatient Behavioral Health RN

Apply Description Nursing Contingent The Staff Nurse, under general direction and in accordance with hospital standards and policies, will be responsible for providing care for and addressing physical and behavioral needs for the geropsychiatric patient. Supervisory ability, good judgment, innovation, discretion, effective verbal ability, clerical perception, comfortable being assertive, interested and active in own growth, and willing to explore own behavior are all essential. Provides family-centered care and functions as part of an interdisciplinary team. Practices in regard to accepted Standards of Practice and Ethics. Must be flexible enough to adjust to staffing changes dictated by patient care requirements. Requirements Must be a graduate of accredited professional nursing program. Preference is given for specialized training in behavioral health and acute nursing care experience. Must hold current RN license from the State of Ohio Board of Nursing. Must be able to provide nursing care requiring specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of the biological, physical, behavioral, social and nursing science. Must have successfully completed BLS. Professional conduct and excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills.
