Job Description:

Client is currently recruiting for an Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer to be resident in our Chicago office. This position is pivotal within the Solutions team, assisting on significant projects such as technology refreshes, cloud migrations, server builds, and data protection. This role requires collaboration with colleagues across offices within the United States.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor environment performance and proactively identify optimization opportunities to enhance efficiency, scalability, reliability, security and cost-effectiveness in alignment with the Firm's requirements and goals
  • Deploy, configure, and manage Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS offerings, including but not limited to virtual machines, storage accounts (blob containers, file shares), virtual networks, Web Apps, Logic Apps Functions Apps and related service with demonstrated ability to implement, troubleshoot, and maintain these systems
  • Continuously pursue automations, standardization, and efficiency opportunities in the server and service infrastructure
  • Collaborate with security teams to establish, implement, and maintain security measures and compliance controls within Azure environments to meet organizational and regulatory requirements. (e.g., Entra ID, Security Center, Key Vault and Windows Updates) to ensure secure and reliable cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in workload teams as the infrastructure operations representative
  • Contribute to project documentation and identify gaps in processes, procedures, workflows, or as-built documentation that can be developed or enhanced
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third-party vendors and service providers for support
  • Design, implement, and test disaster recovery plans and solutions to ensure business continuity in case of system failures or disasters. ensuring resilience and data integrity across Azure Backup, Rubrik and Azure Site Recovery environments.
  • Other duties as assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in IT infrastructure management with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar, preferred.
  • Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud, preferred.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, preferred.
  • Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
  • Proven experience in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
  • Experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other relevant tools.
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation in cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture and cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency in virtualization technologies and cloud computing.
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with network configurations and protocols.
  • Expertise in monitoring tools and techniques for cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision.
