Infrastructure DevOps/IAC Engineer
Location: Aurora, CO.
Required Clearance: Top Secret/SCI U.S. Citizenship Mandatory: Due to our US federal government contract, candidates for this position are required to be a US Citizen and will be subject to a background investigation. Job Description: The Senior Infrastructure DevOps/IAC Engineer will be responsible for supporting the current traditional Linux based "on premises" VMware environment; with the emphasis and focus to migrate these existing systems to more of an "Infrastructure as Code" (IaC) environment in efforts to modernize. The ideal candidate will have a skillset that spans across traditional on premises VMware based systems as well as experience in transforming these systems to and supporting emerging DevOps solutions in an Agile environment for our customers. Job Responsibilities: Build, configure and administer on-prem and cloud based Atlassian Jira product / systems.
Utilize the following stages in a pipeline: Build, Package, Deploy and Functional Test.
Collaborate with teams to develop scalable, efficient, and maintainable solutions using Jira.
Build and maintain automation with the Pipeline structure; Using Rundeck, Chef Environment files, and Ansible.
Be a team player incorporating a team-based success philosophy.
Follow established Software processes and procedures, development, documentation and maintenance/management of operations concepts, requirements (system, element, segment level), external and internal interfaces, and other software engineering work products/artifacts.
Contribute to the completion of program and project milestones under the specific guidance of their immediate supervisor.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in DevOps and satellite technology to drive innovation.
Required Skills: Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and 5+ years of related work experience.
Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum, SAFe).
Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite.
Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira / Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Artifactory).
Experience with automation frameworks such as Chef and Ansible.
