Duties As a Information Technology Specialist (Sysanalysis) at the GS-2210-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Responsible for System Monitoring and Incident Response of credential issuance systems. Continuously monitor system health, performance, and availability. Respond promptly to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime. Collaborate with different teams within organization to improve system reliability: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools. Profile system performance and identify bottlenecks. Fine-tune system parameters for optimal performance. Capacity Planning and Scaling: Analyze system capacity and predict resource needs. Optimize resource utilization to meet performance requirements. Design and implement high-availability architectures. Test fail over scenarios to ensure system resilience. Incident Post-Mortems and Root Cause Analysis: Conduct post-incident reviews to identify root causes. Implement preventive measures to avoid similar incidents. Develop compliance testing methodology and testing plans for new and existing industry and federal standard of identity credential. Perform compliance checks based on internal and external regulatory requirements and submit testing reports to senior management. Responsible for assisting in preparing and briefing oral and written communications to varied audiences within the organization. Provides problem solving, prioritization, and reasoning skills when faced with technical and functional, as well as organizational challenges. Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Serves as a project manager throughout the Software development lifecycle, sustainment, testing, troubleshooting, and reliability of IT network and data infrastructure systems. Applies Agile methodology and Java practices and procedures to develop and ensure enterprise architectures, infrastructures, and performance management of IT software programs. Evaluates, develops and maintains SQL, system reliability and Information Technology infrastructure and database systems. Leads a diverse workforce of civilian, contractor and military internal and external stakeholders to ensure program schedule, costs and monitors contract performance. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
