Information Technology Specialist

Duties You will write, debug, and maintain custom SharePoint farm solutions. You will work with customers in solving advanced SharePoint issues in areas that may include site, site collection, lists, features, workflows, page design, web parts, structure, and performance. You will work with management analysts and subject matter specialists from other departments to determine effective information technology (IT) techniques, which will result in attaining management goals and objectives. You will perform translation of system and application design into applications prototypes. You will evaluate new applications software technologies and ensure the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the delivery of application software services. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing, modifying, deploying or debugging software applications in support of business operations, using application development tools or technologies such as: C .NET, PowerShell, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, XML, SharePoint, and others. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: verifying data processing applicability, identifying alternate approaches and preparing detailed technical reports recommending the most effective systems approach. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: working with customers and their technical representatives to test applications and assure software and systems quality and functionality. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: advising and assisting managers on systems matters and in evaluating the need for changes in existing policies and procedures. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
