Job Summary In this position, you will work with the Aerospace team and information technology operations site lead at its Colorado Springs, CO ("COS") offices to plan, coordinate, and execute a wide variety of complex information technology projects. The COS campus is composed of unclassified and classified facilities supporting a combination of engineering and program management work, primarily for national security space systems. The projects in scope for this role cut across IT infrastructure domains - endpoints, audiovisual, servers, storage, and networks. Hands-on experience in one or more of these domains is a plus, but you will be working closely with engineering and operations teams who are expert in all these areas. Because of the nature of the supported programs and facilities, the position requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain SAP accesses. Work Model 100% onsite - Colorado Springs, CO What You'll Be Doing Interact with engineering, program, and executive stakeholders in Colorado Springs to understand the unique needs of the site and identify IT operations, infrastructure, and support needs.
Coordinate and plan complex IT operations projects in both unclassified and classified environments in cooperation with IT leadership, local and remote IT operations personnel, Facilities, and Security.
Act as a liaison and representative in projects that involve IT, Facilities, Security, Aerospace, customer, and government personnel and organizations.
Plan and execute solutions to customer needs requiring high levels of assurance.
Ensure planned solutions and approaches fit with Aerospace's enterprise architecture.
Act as an escalation point for customer service issues, difficult incidents, IT projects, and complex corporate events. As needed, perform hands-on support for these activities.
Act as an information technology representative and expert in local change control board discussions.
Manage customer experience and expectations through evaluation of feedback, efficient practices, and continuous improvement of services. What You Need to be Successful Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or 6+ years of experience managing IT systems and/or infrastructure.
Experience in eliciting business requirements and implementing technical solutions to meet those requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively to large audiences via email, virtually, or in person.
Passion for service delivery, customer service, user experience, and operational excellence.
Ability to establish strong and productive working relationships at all levels.
This position requires at least an active Top-Secret w/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SAP accesses. How You Can Stand Out It would be impressive if you have one or more of these: Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) customers or contractors.
Experience supporting information technology in classified environments.
Experience supporting a range of different IT infrastructure areas (e.g., desktops, servers, storage, networks, telecom, AV).
Experience overseeing teams providing IT support to a diverse customer base.
Ability to manage customer experience and expectations through evaluation of feedback, efficient practices, and continuous improvement of services.
