THE ROLE:

The Information Technology Assistant will primarily focus in the areas of computer operations, user and desktop support (hardware and software), telecommunications support, help desk, data management and maintaining in-house computer systems in multi-state locations. In this role you will perform a variety of moderately complex information technology support duties to ensure smooth delivery of technology services

Monitors, operates, or coordinates and assists others in the operation of computer hardware, software, peripherals, and telecommunications equipment in order to achieve desired results. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal system wide performance. Other duties include troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and assistance where required.

This position is a 40 plus (+) hour position and can require some weekend support to meet customer and business commitments.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

ORGANIZATIONAL:

  • Microsoft Hyper-V or VMware Virtualization
  • Cloud Management

TECHNOLOGIES (Experience Preferred)

  • Cisco Meraki Wired & Wireless Networking products
  • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint or similar EDR products
  • VPN and other enterprise Remote Access solutions
  • Microsoft Azure AD, Azure AD Domain Services
  • Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Intune and Windows Autopilot

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues through end-user communication (phone, instant messaging, email and in-person)
  • Support all employee computers, tablets, office and cell phones, and printers
  • Deploy software, updates, antivirus, and patch management strategies
  • Procure IT equipment and technologies in accordance with IT security and standards
  • Assist in process improvements and/or specialized training as necessary
  • Resolve and log emails sent to IT support
  • Respond and resolve IT related issues over the phone
  • Installation of operating system, custom developed programs and user applications
  • Data backup and recovery
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Deploy and support business applications
  • Knowledge and support of Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, and collaboration tools (Teams, Blue Jeans, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of networking support: WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi & VPN connectivity
  • Help curate a company security awareness training and phishing simulation program (KnowBe4)
  • Ability to work well indecently and within a team environment with rapidly changing priorities.

OTHER INFORMATION:

  • This position will be based full time, onsite, in our Bethlehem, PA facility
  • Travel time is expected to be 0-15%
  • This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. Additional hours, including evenings or weekends may be required based on the company needs.
  • This position currently has no direct supervisory responsibilities
  • This position can be required to participate in the company random or customer specific drug and alcohol screening and background check
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Associates Degree in Information Systems
  • 2-3 years of recent experience or equivalent 5 years' experience in the IT field

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Office environment on a regular basis. While performing the duties of this positions, the employee may enter a shop environment and will be exposed to moving mechanical parts. While the work area may be described as generally clean, safe, and "not loud", there will be machining operations that generate moderate noise and metal particles.
