Information Technology Auditor

Responsibilities include: Plan, lead and conduct audits, special reviews, and investigations of technically complex information technology & systems to assess the status of the agencys IT systems, activities, and operations. Develop comprehensive audit plans that includes an appropriate objective, scope, and methodology based on generally accepted government auditing standards and MnDOT/Office of Audit objectives. Act in a consultation role, as requested, by office leadership for office or agency consideration of appropriate internal controls related to IT Systems, information security, and records retention. Assess the effectiveness of risk management processes related to IT systems. Provide recommendations for mitigating risks and improving the overall control environment. Minimum Qualifications: Three years of professional experience demonstrating the following: Experience using computer hardware, software, networks, and cloud computing. Experience applying IT standards, principles, and frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, GDPR, or COSO. Experience applying risk assessment and internal control methodologies.
