We have an outstanding opportunity available for an Infection Preventionist to join our team at our Morgan Hospital location in Martinsville, IN. This position will be a Part-Time day shift role Monday-Friday, working 24 hours a week. Prior experience in infection control preferred, and previous nursing experience a plus. The Infection Preventionist conducts targeted infection surveillance activities including investigation and responses to outbreaks of infections among patients and/or personnel. The Preventionist recommends and teaches appropriate preventative measures to control infection and assures compliance with recommendations from regulatory and accrediting agencies. Knowledge of nursing and medical procedures; medical and environmental microbiology; infectious disease; epidemiology; asepsis and immunology preferred. Requires knowledge of local; state; and national regulations and standards and their impact on infection control. National certification in infection control preferred within 3 years from date of hire. 3-5 years' experience in healthcare or related field is preferred.
