Inf e ction Preventionist- RN Qualifications & Responsibilities:
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Current, Unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse License
- Wound care/ inf e ction prevention experience preferred
- Inf e ction Prevent ion Certified
- Previous long-term care experience is preferred but not required .
- Provide patient care based on scientific principles/nursing theory and evidence-based practice.
- Recognize change in the patient's condition and intervene appropriately.
- Prioritize nursing actions including reflecting patient needs, acuity, and desired outcomes.
- Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on wound care processes and issues.
- Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing or Administrator.
- Licensed Practical Nurse -LPN may be considered
